Job Scam Alert: Indigo Visa & Immigration Services Exposed for Fraud

Indigo Visa & Immigration Services Under Scrutiny

A shocking job scam has come to light involving a consultancy operating under the name Indigo Visa & Immigration Services, with the website indigovisa.co.in and contact email indigo.hrvisa@gmail.com. Victims allege that the company lures job seekers with promises of overseas employment, only to trap them in a carefully staged fraud that results in huge financial losses.

Step 1: Initial Contact & Trust Building

The scam begins when the consultancy reaches out to job seekers via phone calls and emails. They claim direct contracts with multinational companies in the UK, Canada, USA, and Australia. Initially, they promise zero advance charges, asking payment only after visa confirmation. This is a deliberate trust-building tactic.

Step 2: Document Collection

Once a candidate shows interest, scammers demand notarized copies of all educational certificates, experience letters, and personal documents. Victims are made to believe these are needed for visa processing.

Step 3: Fake Updates & WhatsApp Proofs

Every week, scammers call and send WhatsApp messages to maintain trust. They share fake visa status screenshots and bogus VFS appointment slips, all designed to convince victims that the process is legitimate.

Step 4: The Money Trap

By the third week, the real scam begins. Victims are asked to pay multiple fees. In one verified case, a victim lost a total of ₹68,205, broken down as follows:

  • Visa Stamping Fee: ₹19,975
  • Tax: ₹1,280
  • Medical: ₹7,850
  • 50% Air Ticket: ₹15,500
  • Consulate Managing Fee (bribery): ₹20,000
  • Document Notary Fee: ₹3,600

After initial payment, new demands keep coming: ₹14,000 one day, ₹15,500 the next, then another ₹15,000–₹20,000, all under the pretext of speeding up the process or handling consulate officials.

Step 5: The Final Disappearance

Finally, scammers promise document and ticket handover at a 5-star hotel near the airport in the 5th or 6th week. But no one ever shows up. Victims are left with fake screenshots, fake tickets, and empty WhatsApp promises.

Warning Signs of the Scam

  • Unrealistic 100% success claims for visas.
  • Demanding notarized copies of all personal documents.
  • Fake visa status screenshots via WhatsApp.
  • Sudden demands for multiple fees (stamping, medical, consulate, tickets).
  • False promises of handover at luxury hotels.
